Project Spotlight – Latina Plunge Pool
Project Spotlight – Latina Plunge Pool
Tired of driving somewhere every day to have a swim, this family in Mount Lawley decided it was time to get their own pool and cut their travel time down to a short walk from their back door.
Previously a grassed area with garden beds, this tight space has been transformed into a piece of paradise the family loves stepping into every day. Longing to slow down the pace of family life, they have created a tranquil oasis that allows them to spend quality time together without needing to pack up the car and travel somewhere else. Combined with the funky playground set, it’s the perfect entertainment zone for their two children.
The owners chose the 4.5m x 3.5m Latina design as it was the largest pool that would make use of the space but also allow them to keep as much grass as possible. The square shape makes the pool look larger and the Hamptons Blue colour contrasts beautifully against the existing dark greenery. Installation was hassle-free although the close proximity to the existing garage needed to be taken into account.
The finishing touches include travertine pavers, frameless glass fencing and large white terrazzo pots featuring Strelitzia Nicolai. Climbing Ficus on the garage wall was planted to maximise the pool area and keep greenery around the pool. Relaxing in the stylish wicker chairs with a drink in hand is the perfect spot to wind down at the end of the day while the kids enjoy a swim.
