Fitting effortlessly into the backyard of a Duncraig home, this Bali-inspired oasis is the ideal solution to outside entertaining.
Decked bench seating has been placed along the length of the pool to create an inviting space where guest can interact.
The main attraction is the 8m by 3m fibreglass Caprice swimming pool, which is a seamless match for the space and provides the perfect length for swimming laps or family entertaining, according to Aqua Technics Marketing Manager Maree Voss. “The pool slots into the contours of the house whilst complementing the features and style of the backyard,”she said.
It is surrounded by tropical foliage and features a Balinese hut that overlooks the deep end and provides a great area to sit back, relax and bask in a sumptuous outside space. Decked bench seating has been placed along the length of the pool to create an inviting space where swimming and non-swimming guests can easily interact.
A lawn area features on the opposite side of the pool, with stepping stones creating a pathway to the hut. “The pattern of the green grass between the stepping stones visually links all areas, and the colourful lanterns, funky day bed and bright cushions finish off this stunning area, turning it into a backyard holiday destination,” Mrs Voss said.
At the shallow end, the pool has been installed right up close to the polished timber decked alfresco area.
“The unobtrusive side-entry steps greet swimmers as they step down from the alfresco area straight into the shallow end of the pool,” Mrs Voss said.
“The addition of frameless glass fencing effortlessly blends the swimming and entertaining areas.”
A bench seating or swim-out area has been built into the deep end of the pool, meaning this can also be used as an entry, exit or relaxation area.
The use of colour in this design adds an extra element of detail and delight to the entire area. The pool’s blue surface finish is a wonderful contrast to the light pavers and polished timber decking at the shallow end of the pool.
“The dark colouring of the hut works seamlessly with the lush green tropical foliage, enhancing the surrounding area and taking you straight back to Bali,” Mrs Voss said.
