2026 SPASA WA Awards of Excellence
Aqua Technics Pools Named Business of the Year at the 2026 SPASA WA Awards of Excellence
Aqua Technics Pools has been named Business of the Year at the 2026 SPASA WA Awards of Excellence, taking home five Gold awards on the night. It is the second consecutive year the Perth fibreglass pool manufacturer has won both Business of the Year and Best Fibreglass Pool Builder.
The SPASA Awards of Excellence are the swimming pool and spa industry’s peak awards, run by the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia. Entries are judged by an independent panel, and Gold winners from each state progress to the SPASA National Awards later in the year.

Teura Taylor, WA Pool Sales Representative of the Year
Teura Taylor, Sales and Design Consultant at the Aqua Technics Pools Joondalup display centre, won Gold in the Pool Sales Representative Award. The category recognises the consultant who delivers the best customer experience from first visit to handover, judged on product knowledge, communication, service and customer feedback.
Teura joined Aqua Technics in 2024 and was a finalist in the same category in 2025. Since beginning with the company Teura has won the Aqua Technics Happy Customers Award every year, an award decided by customer feedback rather than management. She was also named the Aqua Technics Sales Consultant of the Year in 2025.
What sets Teura apart is that she educates rather than sells. Her knowledge runs well beyond the pool itself into design, construction, compliance and energy efficient equipment such as variable speed pumps, inverter heat pumps and automation, which is why her customers describe her as an adviser rather than a salesperson.
If you are planning a pool in Perth’s northern suburbs, you can visit Teura at the Joondalup display centre at 18 Ascari Lane, Joondalup.
Darren Godden, Operational Excellence
Darren Godden, General Manager, won Gold for Operational Excellence. The award recognises the systems, people and processes behind every pool, from manufacturing and scheduling through to installation and aftercare.
O’Connor Display Centre takes Gold
The Aqua Technics Pools O’Connor display centre won Gold in the Display Pool / Centre category. The centre at Homeworld, South Street, O’Connor showcases the current Aqua Technics range across a mix of surface finishes and landscaping styles, so visitors can compare models at full size before choosing.
Two years running
Aqua Technics Pools also won Business of the Year and Best Fibreglass Pool Builder at the 2025 SPASA WA Awards, making 2026 the second consecutive year the company has held both titles. Aqua Technics has also won Best Fibreglass Pool Builder in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Celebrating 50 years
The 2026 awards arrive in the same year Aqua Technics Pools marks 50 years of manufacturing fibreglass pools in Western Australia. The results reflect the work of the whole team, the dealer network and the customers who trust Aqua Technics with their backyards.
