Commercial Pools
Meath Care is a retirement village situated in Trigg. An extension on the existing clubhouse commenced in early 2015, which included replacement of the existing swimming pool.
Following Public Health approval, the old pool was removed along with a pergola that was covering it. The new 11m x 2.5m Hamilton fibreglass pool was installed while building works were being completed.
The finished pool includes grab rails on one side for safe, easy access for the residents. Dark blue step strips were added as per Public Health requirements to ensure swimmers can safely and confidently enter the pool. The depth is a constant 1.4m, which suits the needs of the elderly residents who didn’t require a deep end.
Solar pool heating was installed so the residents can swim in a comfortable temperature for several months of the year. The pool equipment is situated behind a screen at one end of the pool, keeping it protected and out of the way of swimmers while still allowing easy access.
On completion of the pool installation a new pergola was erected to keep the area protected from the elements so residents can enjoy the outdoor area all year round.
Commercial Pools
Purpose built for residents of the Regents Garden Residential Resort, this indoor concrete pool includes handrails and a gently graduating ramp to offer easy access for swimmers of various levels of physical ability. The angle of the ramp needed to be precise to meet strict standards relating to wheelchair access into the pool. Gas heating has also been incorporated to allow for year round use of the pool. An in-ground, X-740 Laguna Quay spa pool installed adjacent to the pool provides additional hydrotherapy and relaxation for residents. Finished with grand sandstone pillars and paving, dolphin water features, statue lights and a decorative sky scene ceiling, this pool is both a functional tool for physical therapy and a picturesque retreat.

The customer required an 18m x 3.8m x 1.5m constant depth lap pool, but due to the remoteness and sensitivity of the location (in the Kimberley), a customised design in concrete was not viable. Aqua Technics Commercial offered a pre-moulded design, in which a composite pool shell was built in two 9.0m sections, shipped to Wyndham and then transported by barge (80km) to site. An installation crew was flown to site by seaplane and the two sections unloaded and joined, before being installed into a pre-built pool terrace. Installation was completed within six days and included a matching spillway spa, thereby providing patrons with both exercise and recreation options.

This 9.8m x 3.4m fibreglass pool in Hamptons Blue was installed on the second level terrace of The Adnate hotel located in the centre of Perth at 900 Hay Street.
The pool was installed in mid-2019 on the terrace, which sits to the left of the 27-storey hotel tower. The outdoor pool is adjacent to The Adnate’s cocktail bar and offers views of the Perth skyline for swimmers.
Two integrated stainless steel ladders were installed for easy access in and out of the pool. The heating equipment ensures that guests can enjoy the pool all year round. A unique feature of this project is the location of the resort’s plant room, which is located 5m above the pool.
The pool has a constant depth of 1.5m and 7 LED lights feature along one wall. The floors below the pool terrace level consist of retail outlets.
The stunning location and unique design led to the pool winning SPASA WA’s Gold medal for Commercial Fibreglass Pools up to $250,000 at the 2020 Awards of Excellence event.
