Local WA Pool Company Wins International Gold!

Western Australia’s most awarded swimming pool company, Aqua Technics, triumphed over a large field of international entries to take gold at the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) International Awards of Excellence held in Las Vegas on the 1st of November.

The APSP Awards of Excellence recognise outstanding pool installations from all over the world. Aqua Technics won the prestigious gold award in the Residential Fibreglass Pools – Outside of the US and Canada category. The winning Aqua Technics pool is located in Perth’s northern suburbs in a gorgeous, modern backyard. This resort-style pool was also successful at the 2010 Swimming Pool & Spa Association of WA (SPASA WA) Awards of Excellence, winning bronze in the Fibreglass Pools – Over $30,000 category.

Mr Ben Beale, Executive Director of Aqua Technics, said the win “is fantastic news for Aqua Technics and is testament to the ongoing commitment we have to designing and manufacturing world-class swimming pools. The customer has created a magnificent outdoor entertainment area with the pool as the stunning centrepiece.”

Stepping through the semi-frameless glass gate brings swimmers and alike into a sprawling pool area that everyone can enjoy. The award-winning Milan pool model is a 10m long by 3m wide geometric lap pool design that is part of the modern Tuscany Series. Other models available in this series are the 8m x 3m Caprice and the 6m x 3m Athena, a smaller pool perfect for Perth’s modern backyards. The Milan pool features twin side entry steps and corner swim-outs, making it an ideal size and shape for lap swimming. A solar heating system keeps this pool swimmable for most of the year.

The pool colour chosen by the owner is from the exclusive Aqua Technics Crystite® Classic range in Azure Blue. The swimming pool is surrounded by a course of limestone headers which is then surrounded by a large timber decked area. Lush green lawn and Yuccas provide spectacular contrasting colour to the area. The Yuccas are lit up with built-in spotlights embedded in the pot plants as well as the garden bed. A modern, raised patio – complete with an in-ground spa from Jadan Spas – overlooks the entire area making it the perfect spot to sit and relax any time of the day or night.

Model: Saint-Remy Pool + Spa Combination

Includes: Standard installation, Stat fees, Crystalite ColourGuard surface finish, EvoHeat Active-i 17kw heat pump

Comp Terms & Conditions:

The prize only applies to an Aqua Technics Saint-Remy 7.6m x 3.6m fibreglass pool valued $45,278 including statutory fees and charges and Crystalite ColourGuard finish and EvoHeat Active-I 17kw heat pump. If the winner chooses a different pool and/or surface finish and heat pump and the total contract value exceeds the value of the prize the winner will be required to pay the balance. If the total contract value is less than the value of the prize, no upward adjustment or credit will be given.

Standard pool inclusions apply. All additional costs outside of the Standard Inclusions will need to be paid by the winner, including but not limited to any engineering works, temporary fencing, piles/grouting, tip fees, boarding protection to pavers, plank & mesh/plank & board (house under construction), hard/limited access dig, cranage upgrades, general fees & amending of services, road closures for cranage if required, separate fencing applications (for some shires).

Standard SPASA swimming pool contract terms & conditions will apply.

To be a valid entrant, the entrant must:
- Be a permanent resident of Australia, currently residing in Western Australia.
- Be the legal property owner of the residence in which the pool will be installed.
- Be 18 years of age or over.

The competition is valid for pools installed in the Perth metro area only, with the metro area encompassing Dawseville to the South, Yanchep to the North and Mundaring to the East.
