How We Build Our Pools

An Aqua Technics pool is the best swimming pool you can buy.  It is stronger, has greater impact resistance, better resistance to chemicals and ultra violet light, looks better and will last longer.

That’s why when we say you get more life with an Aqua Technics pool, we mean it.  So read on to see why our pools are the best available in the market today.

Quality Assured

Aqua Technics operates under a Quality Management System (QMS) for production, installation and service as per the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001.  Our pools are manufactured, processed and supplied to comply with AS/NZS 1838 under license number 1906.  Any pool builder can say they build to, or better than the Australian Standard but for your peace of mind always ask your pool builder for their license number.

Obtaining accreditation to build a fibreglass pool under the Australian Standard means being measured and tested by an authorised, independent auditor.  This accreditation in not easily achieved and Aqua Technics was the first swimming pool company in Australia to achieve this endorsement.

Made in WA

All of our pools are proudly designed and made in Western Australia at our Welshpool manufacturing facility to suit local conditions.  Always check your pool is made in WA.

All new designs are built using a 5-axis CNC router with computer generated sculpting robotics to ensure precision moulds built to exacting tolerances.  We only use premium swimming pool grade reinforced fibreglass which is purpose made for pools.  We have WA’s only gelcoat manufacturing facility.  Our fully qualified in-house industrial chemist mixes every gelcoat on a daily basis, allowing it to be modified to suit ambient weather conditions.  This guarantees a better product.  Our quality supervisors visually inspect every pool prior to dispatch, ensuring your pool is nothing less than the quality you expect from Aqua Technics.

Superior Strength

Step Reinforcement

Aqua Technics is committed to providing the best possible swimming pool available.  Part of this process is the structure of the shell walls.  Every one of our pools has a full size structural ribbing system that makes the pool independently structural when installed into a sand hole, eliminating the need for consolidated or sand and cement backfill.

Long sweeping benches, seats and swim outs are now part of any great pool design.  The support structure that we build in as part of the manufacturing process ensures that these features remain level with the rest of the pool.  Our support struts are constructed from fibreglass and are part of the pool shell to guarantee its integrity and ensure the strength of the pool.

Support structures in the step area ensure that backfill can easily and effectively be placed around the pool to again provide effective support to the entire pool structure.  Without this, it would be impossible to ensure the backfill is consolidated under the step area.

200mm edge beams are standard with every Aqua Technics pool.  The design of the edge beam coupled with its width means your pool is structurally sound without having to add secondary engineering works, such as a concrete ring beam.  Most paving companies have designed their headers to perfectly fit our edge beams.
